Emmy Collins London Spring/Summer 2011 Jackets

You get to appreciate the designs and handwork better with this close up product shots. There’s so much design and hand crafting going on and I would not be far off from the truth if I referred to it as couture because the same amount of detailing and aesthetic depth is evidenced here.

Fashion Camp (FC) Final Day

Remember I told you guys earlier in the day bouts my lecture at fashion camp. To be honest I was a bit unsure of how I would perform as a lecturer but luckily for me the environment was cozy and it turned out to be more of a discussion than a lecture per se.

The always adorable Arieta Mujay (above) and Biki John (below) who are both London based stylists set up the camp to educate and motivate young fashion talents in the country and I commend their efforts for trying to give back to their country and building the fashion industry here.

My Favorite Thing(s)- Kumkang Document Bag

I copped this cool document bag a few weeks back at some vintage market in central Lagos and my love for it is still fresh. It accompanies me mostly to French School and meetings with designers, stockists…

oh well, the life of a stylist :o) Need to get off now and prepare for a lecture I would be giving later today as well as a presentation at the office. Au revoir.

Tanzanian born designer Christine Mhando creates a fun sexy cool collection for her label Chichia London’s summer 2010 collection. The London raised designer taps into her cultural heritage while adapting elements from London town. It’s a girly collection that cuts across various age groups and you can find pieces suitable for mother and boppy teenage daughter.

Zebra Living 'Dynamo Collection' Show

I arrived fashionably late just in time for the beginning of the Lagos Dynamo Collection show at Zebra Living’s store premises and quickly got whisked to a reserved seat in the front row *wink wink*. The collection was romantic and flirty with loads of floral and beautiful little black dresses. I captured the dresses to the best of my cameras ability but after the event I went in to have a close up look and I got to admit, the finishing is amazing.
