ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK ¬ LAGOS. 50 DESIGNERS+STAR-STUDDED MUSICAL ACTS TO CLOSE EACH NIGHT’S SHOWCASE

ARISE MAGAZINE, Africa¹s first global style and culture magazine, has released the schedule for the ARISE MAGAZINE FASHION WEEK ­ LAGOS 2011 which will take place in the tents at the luxury Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, from Thursday 10th March to Sunday 13th March 2011.

The much-anticipated line-up of 50 international fashion designers will showcase their latest designs in three categories: Group, Double and Collective showcases over four days. 

The designers selected to participate are:

Autumn Adeigbo, Angelo Van Mol, B-Side by Wale Adeyemi, Bestow Elan, Black Coffee, Bridget Awosika, Buki Akib, Bunmi Koko, Chichia, Christie Brown, Deola Sagoe, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Eki Orleans, Eredappa, Gavin Rajah (SA), Gert-Johan Coetzee, Grey, House of Farrah, House of Nwocha, Ituen Basi, Jewel by Lisa, JIL, Jo Black Craze, Kastle Designs & Treasure Chest, KemKemStudio, Kiki Kamanu, Klûk CGDT, Korto Momolu, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi , LaQuan Smith, Lola Faturoti, Madam Wokie's Couture, Maki Oh, Mataano, Mustafa Hassanali, Nikki Khiran Couture, NKWO, Odio Mimonet, Okunoren Twins, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, Re Bahia, Samantha Cole, Tiffany Amber, Toju Foyeh, Tsemaye Binitie, Viv La Resistance, Vonne, Xuly.Bët, Zedeye.


The four-day event is already attracting international television attention because of the biggest line-up of international designers the continent has ever seen. In addition to this, ARISE Magazine Fashion Week have also announced that each of the day¹s event will close with a star-studded closing musical act. The artistes confirmed include Naeto C, Darey Art-Alade, Grammy Award-winning singer Estelle and to close the ARISE Magazine Fashion Week Awards on Sunday 13 March, will be Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu - better known as the two-time BRIT  Award-winning artist: Tinie Tempah.

It will be a fitting end to the traditional fashion season after Paris Fashion Week and complete the international global fashion week season.

The event will end on the night of Sunday 13th March 2011 with the specatular ARISE Magazine Fashion Awards which will include the South African designer Black Coffee, and an exclusive performance by Tinie Tempah. The very best of the designers will be invited to participate in the  annual ARISE Magazine Fashion Gala in New York on September 14th 2011 during New York Fashion Week.
